The tube is connected by a standard thread cap as well meaning you can use most lids off disposable bottles to seal it off should you just want to carry the bladder for extra water storage and not with the drinking tube attached. 

The Hyperflow Bite Valve delivers a heap of water quickly and easily and the carry loop attaches to the top of most packs to stop it slumping to the bottom of your pack. This bladder will fit in almost all manufactures back pack bladder sleeves.
